50 Hours To Launch
Soul » Devlog
After a morning of presentations from Meta Presence Platform engineers, we were tasked with forming teams to build an app for Mixed Reality. With only ~50 hours to design, prototype, and deliver, our 5-person team got right to work. And, after a few hours of ideation, we pivoted to goal that "stuck"...
...object personification.
Could MR bring a chair to life? Or a mug? How about a wall?
Each personified object would need to exhibit qualities that we associate with personality. And, face imagery seemed like a great place to start. By the end of Day 1, we had settled on some goals for our app:
- there are special personas here
- personas are placeable
- personas can be removed/swapped
- user can interact with "personified" objects using voice/hands/eyes/face
- Different interactions have different results
